She was a good girl born on the wrong side of the tracks, wicked and wild, this black-hearted dame left her good girl ways behind in the Spring of 2009. Emerald Fontaine was too young to be cautious…too tough to care… and now it’s too late to say no! Born under a bad sign, Emerald is every inch the teasing, taunting burlesque dame with her ruby red lips and raven locks. Shaking her hips to the sultry sounds of rhythm and blues, she’s a rockabilly pin-up full of rebellion, but with nothing to lose!
This deviant dame was discovered running wild at London’s ‘Double R’ Club. The perfect platform for a woman truly ‘gone bad’ Emerald has since ripped through London’s greatest venues and night clubs like a hot tornado!
And it doesn’t stop there. Determined to spread her sin through the burlesque scene like a fever, Emerald created the hugely successful ‘The Fox Presents’ with Fleur de Guerre; nights of fabulous live music and scorching burlesque, with Emerald acting as compere and performing too, the louche and lustful of London were powerless to resist.
Taking her inspiration from the subversive Silverscreen, Emerald’s passionate love affair with film informs every gesture and gyration. Dark, dangerous, defiant, each act is inspired by John Walters, David lynch and Mamie Van Doren and features a red-hot rockabilly soundtrack.
Emerald Fontaine is the bad girl of burlesque. Will she ever be tamed? Would we want her to be? |
